History and what it preaches

I am interested in lot of fantasy novels and recently i have developed interests in reading ancient life-style. As and when I read about it i used to visualize it in my mind and will literally live in that period. Under these situations I used to compare the life-style in present and how it is in past. I have heard that before British people invaded us we were wealthy with lot of natural resources and i even heard that there times where it is not possible to see beggers over here but now, they are everywhere.

Ever since I heard about it, I was even more curious to learn more about our ancient life-style. The one difference which attracted my attention was, In history we were ruled by kings and in present we are ruled by ministers. Literally speaking the current kingdom (Actually I have to use government when i refer to present but, let us use the word kingdom as i feel that it suits more apt to what i am about to say) is formed by democracy and it is people who elects the person to rule them. Ideally speaking this should be the golden age for people rather than the ancient periods. That too with lot of new inventions and technologies it is best suited as the golden age of people. But, are we seriously considering the present as our golden period ??. Are people really happy in the present kingdom ??

I believe the full essence of democracy will be tasted if we receive the answer as "yes" from major part of the people to the above questions. one can normally ask that the kingdom is formed by the people and they have the right to decide who to rule them so obviously they will be happy in current kingdom. yet i believe that the answer to the above questions would be "no" from majority of the people. This made me think a little bit that what exactly does these people wanted ? They are not happy with the person whom they have elected as their rulers. After a lot of thinking I searched the answer in history. As always history teaches a lot, its only us who fail to learn from it.

There were powerful kings in history some were good and some were cruel. But still I believe that people were happy when they are ruled under them. so one can ask how can a person be happy under a cruel king. yes comparatively people were happy under the ancient kingdom than the present. While thinking more of it. I just started realizing that in ancient periods the kings were boldly making decisions and were executing it. They built dams, harvested crops and built temples and did all in their power to make the life happy in their kingdom. There were charity under the kings, there were justice under them and most of all people were courageous their prowess were still appreciated.

people fought when they need to, they budged when it is needed and they struggled in bad times yet they were guarded by the kings. People understood exactly the nature of the king under whom they are sheltered and acted accordingly so they flourished along with the king. But now since people took the decision of whom to rule they were not able to decide on whom to give power and since it is people who have to decide whom to rule them most of the times there were equal support for the oppositions and they fail to obey the elected rulers. They fought with the kingdom unnecessarily just because they were not given the power to rule. They blocked the good projects brought up by the ruler as a result, they failed to protect justice and common people started to use these loopholes inside the justice to escape from the punishment.

They elongated the time for justice in the name of investigation. There were many judges as a result people elongated the justice period still more. As a result the crime in the country increased and people lost hope for justice and in the end they were hiding from these wrong doers and the rulers were supporting them instead of controlling. These were not the case in ancient periods. The king was not afraid about loosing power and boldly doing anything which he thought as good. There were ministers in ancient period but they were only giving suggestions to king and ultimately the decision making power was with the king.

People were no longer courageous they were restricted in the name of peaceful life. The punishments were reduced in the name of human rights. People were often forgiven and wrong doers go public and the kingdom protects them for investigation. They are afraid to make decisions boldly

Cant stop wondering how it would be when we have the current technology and ancient kingdoms.

The Feel

When I started to think about writing this topic, there were hell lot of things going on my mind but, when i sat down for penning it down, I was not able to find the words and all of a sudden my mind went blank.

when we are not able to explain something and desperately wanted to explain then what do we call it?. I call it "The Feel" effect. Its not like the ordinary feeling that everyone gets, I believe that it has to be something different. I recently realized that i had many such effects where i desperately wanted to tell something to others but was lost without words or i believe there is no suitable words to explain it. Its like whatever the word that you chose to explain it, you will feel that it is very little in expressing it. I used to give up finally after so much of stress to myself.

I used to wonder what creates "The Feel" effect. I in fact believed that the unanswerable questions might lead you to it. Like when i ask myself, Why do you need money? I need it to solve my problems, Why do you need to solve your problems? silly, I need to live happily which i can achieve by solving my problems and why you need to live happily? becoz.. becoz.., I do not know, Its just the feel. It makes something which I wanted it more and more and it makes me feel good, People call it as "happiness". It Maybe but, I didn't feel the word explained the amount of happiness I experienced. In this case is the amount of happiness is what is called "The Feel" effect?

I cannot blindly commit to it. Becoz I felt many such feel in my dream, where i will be explaining something to someone. Its not like an ordinary expressing but "the feel" as and when i talk about it the happiness inside me increased exponentially and i was desperate that i wanted the person whom i am saying this to desperately understand the feel in which i am explaining.

I do believe that "the feel" might not occur on the same thing to all, people might experience it with different things. Like a Musician desperately "feel" the music, there were few people who desperately feel proud in explaining history e.t.c.,

I have a very strange thought of chasing the "feel" which occurs when one feels the purpose of his life. If one was able to achieve a feel which he believes as the purpose of his life, he whom i believe has succeeded in achieving his "Anveshana - The Quest". I am searching for the feel of my life (Not to decline that i experienced "the feel" effect while writing this blog.
